Revitalization Brings Life Back to Urban Communities

css-exterior.JPGThere was a very well-written article in Newcomer Magazine for the June/July Issue. The article talks about the trend of revitalization happening throughout Atlanta and the surrounding suburbs. With a population of more than 5 million, the greater Atlanta area has seen its share of over-development in recent years, but now cities and towns have created downtown development programs in an attempt to bring businesses and residents back to their urban centers and away from the overdeveloped suburbs. Some of these areas mentioned in this article include Hapeville, Smyrna and Lawrenceville.

Pictured above is College Street Station in Hapeville, which is a building of 29 one- and two-bedroom lofts that used to be a circa-1911 elementary school.
