Cobb County Apartments Host Resume Workshop

Rockledge Apartments has teamed up with the American Cancer Society to host a “Party with a Purpose.” There are three purposes for this party. First and foremost, next week’s event hopes to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society. The national non-profit organization raises funds for cancer research in hopes that one day we will be able to find a cure. So, everyone is asked to give at least a $20 donation to attend.

The second purpose of the party is to offer the opportunity to have your resume critiqued by professionals from CareerBuilder. The “Party with a Purpose” is a great opportunity to get one-on-one resume advice and ask questions about the job interview process. This is an incredibly valuable opportunity, especially in the current job market with so many people vying for the same position.

And lastly, in addition to the professional networking and resume building opportunities, Rockledge and the American Cancer Society want you to have fun. So, they are offering wine tastings and wine pairing tips.

The party begins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 20th. However, if you want your resume to be one of the ones critiqued, you need to send it as a Word document or PDF to partywithapurpose.cobb [at] gmail [dot] com. The deadline to submit your resume is Wednesday, August 19th at 11 a.m. It is also requested that you RSVP to the same email address if you are planning to attend.
