Real estate trends on the upswing
![]()
According to Atlanta-based Beacham & Company, a real estate firm that specializes in luxury real estate, business couldn’t be better.
The company reported a hefty 7 percent increase in sales of $1 million-plus single family homes in the first seven months of 2007. A total of 560 single-family homes were sold compared to 523 homes during the same period last year.
And there may be good news on the horizon for the remainder of the real estate market according to a senior economist with the National Realtors Association who has recognized a rise in sales and prices in the Northeast region in recent months. The Northeast was the first to experience a sales and price weakenss after the boom. The upswing could be an indication the rest of the country may follow the upward trend.
