Reaching Buyers Online

computer.gifRecent studies show that 85 percent of home buyers begin their home searches on the Internet, according to the National Association of Home Builders. To keep up with this trend, many builders throughout Atlanta and across the United States are continually coming up with ways to attract Internet home shoppers, and in today’s real estate market, this can be extremely important to success.

Bowen Family Homes recently initiated live chat and video streaming on its Web site. Additionally, Bowen has the “My Home Concierge” service that helps match prospective online buyers with the Bowen Family Homes community that best fits the buyer’s needs.

McCar Homes has two full-time real estate agents that help online shoppers. When an online new home shopper emails McCar Homes, they automatically receive a personalized email. The prospective buyer is mailed a McCar Homes Guide to Living Booklet, which includes all of the company’s Atlanta communities and also receives a follow up phone call if a telephone number is provided.

Ross Mundy Custom Homes has recently launched a new company Web site that provides interactive online mapping that allows online shoppers to move the map and find points of interest near all of Ross Mundy’s communities. The builder also features a real estate industry blog giving online home shoppers additional information about communities and the industry.

Monte Hewett Homes continues to be a leader in Internet home-search technology. Currently, Monte Hewett Homes’ site has Google-powered maps to view satellite pictures of each community and provides instant driving directions.

In addition, various Atlanta real estate Web sites and blogs continue to draw traffic from new home shoppers. This blog, the go-to spot for Atlanta real estate news, is one of those very important sites for online new home shoppers.

family-computer.jpgWith so many sources of information, it is important for builders to get their messages across through the outlets that matter the most. These are just a few examples of Atlanta builders who are doing it right and paving the way. Are there any others out there doing anything different? If so, comment and let us know.
