Reaching a Milestone at Heron Bay Golf and Country Club

The master-planned resort-style community, Heron Bay Golf and Country Club, is celebrating the milestone of building its 1,000th new home. The golf community located off of Hwy. 155 in Locust Grove has teamed up with local businesses to bring you an exciting celebration. “Music in the Park” is being held on Saturday, September 8 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the beautiful Lakefront Park located within Heron Bay.

With the Georgia-based band, Nelson Brownstone, taking over the stage, there will be tunes from all eras and genres from the Steve Miller band and the Black Crows to Marvin Gay and Stevie Wonder; festival attendees will definitely enjoy it!

Heron Bay is grateful to the following sponsors: Spalding Regional Medical, Dean Bendall, Academy Mortgage, top national builder—D.R. Horton and Wade Brewer- State Farm Agent. In addition, Morrow First United Methodist Church will be hosting a lemonade stand to benefit an upcoming mission trip for the children of their congregation.

There will be a delicious variety of food available for purchase from some of the City of Atlanta food trucks. Southern Komfort and Gezzo’s Surf and Grille food trucks will be on site with their mouth-watering cuisine. As if this wasn’t already reason enough to attend, there will also be giveaways as well as $3 beers and Margaritas–be sure to bring cash.

Admission to this event is FREE and is open to everyone! The only cost will be to those wishing to purchase food or beverages. This is a family-friendly event, so gather up your entire crew and come enjoy a relaxing day with live music, great food, and tons of fun at Heron Bay’s Lakefront Park.
