Charlie Whitfield of Ravin Homes was selected as the 2006 “Superintendent of the Year” for Peachtree City during the annual awards presentation at the Peachtree City Council meeting on Thursday night, Jan. 18. Tom Carty, the city’s Building Official, said the annual building awards were from the entire Peachtree City developmental staff, which includes the Planning, Engineering and Building Departments.
Whitfield (pictured here), a resident of the Stonebriar subdivision in Fayetteville, heads up building in Ravin Homes’ Cedarcroft community in Peachtree City, where the third and final phase is about to open. In the building industry for more than 20 years, he joined Ravin six years ago. Over the years, he has built from 500 to 600 homes.
The 220-home Cedarcroft community is off MacDuff Parkway, which runs off Highway 54 West a short distance west of Highway 74 North. The home prices in the community begin in the low $200,000s, and there will be 72 homesites in the final phase.
