Project Playhouse is All Raffle This Year

tratonProject Playhouse is just around the corner and this year’s event is a bit different than previous years. Usually, the playhouses are auctioned off at the end of the season to the highest bidder. The auction gala is a wonderful night full of fun, networking, a silent auction of other items and the grand finale of the live playhouse auction, and, of course, the highly-anticipated drawing for the lucky winner of the raffle playhouse.

Well we have decided to shake things up all around. Instead of auctioning off the playhouse, every single one of them will be raffled off to lucky winners. For the 2009 Project Playhouse event, three exceptional playhouses have been designed and built by Traton Homes, Dovetail Homes and DeJiacomo Custom Homes.

Anyone that has taken the time to visit the playhouses in the past know that these are not you average playhouses. Instead, they are fully furnished with upgraded features like hardwood floors, granite countertops, lofts, slides, flat screen televisions, video game sets and more.

You can buy raffle tickets online or at the Playhouse Village at the Avenue Forsyth. Remember, the more raffle tickets you buy, the better your chances are for winning. And all proceeds benefit HomeAid Atlanta, so even if you don’t win, your money goes to a great cause.

dejiacomoRaffle Ticket Prices:

  • 1 ticket for $3.00
  • 2 tickets for $5.00
  • 4 tickets for $10.00
  • 10 tickets for $20.00
  • 30 tickets for $50.00

The Playhouse Village is open to the public on weekends beginning September 19 and continuing through October 10, 2009. The raffle drawings will take place on October 10th – so get your tickets before then!

Saturday, September 19th is a perfect time to tour the 2009 playhouses because that is also the day of the grand opening event.  Radio Disney will be at the event and the first 100 kids to visit the Playhouse Village will receive a goody bag filled with items donated by local businesses. The event begins at 11:00 a.m., so be sure to get there right when it opens!

*On a side note, one of the playhouses is a replica of the Georgia Tech Tower – how unfortunate it is going to be when a Georgia Bulldog fan wins that one!*
