After receiving his MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill and doing an apprenticeship with a national homebuilder, Jim Chapman Jr. began building custom homes in 1998 in the Buckhead area. Together with his father, Atlanta architect Jim Chapman Sr., they formed Jim Chapman Communities in 2005 to apply to the active adult market the quality and service standards Chapman developed while building luxury homes in the Buckhead area. An Atlanta-based active adult builder and developer, Jim Chapman Communities remains a vibrant local residential development and building company focused on redefining active adult living within the greater Atlanta market.
Chapman and his team have scoured the country to learn more about what active adults need and want in their new home.
