Plans Announced for Browns Mill Walk in Intown South

The Housing Group Intown has announced plans for Browns Mill Walk, an enclave of 26 homes on Cleveland Avenue across from the Browns Mill Golf Course. Michael C. Ray, president of The Housing Group, said that his company is partnering with the City of Atlanta to contribute to the revitalization of this Intown South area. “We are building an affordable product with homes starting in the high $200,000s, and our homebuyers can have a reduced mortgage payment when they pioneer and invest in this part of town.”

Browns Mill Walk is located on Cleveland Avenue between Browns Mill Road and Jonesboro Road. Representing The Housing Group Intown in Browns Mill Walk is the father-and-daughter team of the neighborhood’s builder, Jim Dutton, and sales agent Erin Dutton. Jim Dutton is a longtime building partner of Mike Ray and James MacDowell, owners of The Housing Group, and he has previously built homes in Fayette and Henry Counties.

The Housing Group Intown’s homes in Browns Mill Walk will be similar to those built by the company in Brantley Walk in West Atlanta and Eastside Walk in East Atlanta. These will be two-story homes which combine Arts and Crafts design with today’s conveniences. The period-style details include classic craftsman windows, genuine cedar shake accents, board and batten siding and The Housing Group’s signature tire-tread driveways. Historic replica streetlamps and mailboxes line the neighborhood’s streets, while fully sodded lawns, welcoming front porches and decks or patios make it easy to socialize with neighbors.
