Piedmont Residential Gives Back to Local Special Needs School

piedmont residentialIn the spirit of giving back, Piedmont Residential employees recently participated in a sporting clay tournament to benefit The Joseph Sams School, which serves children with special needs.

Piedmont Residential enjoys giving back to the communities it builds in, and the skeet shoot is one of the many ways that the company is able to do that throughout the year. Piedmont sponsored two teams of employees who participated in the event and enjoyed a fun day full of shooting, delicious food, prizes and fellowshipping with the 145 participants.

The Joseph Sams School, located in Fayetteville, is a private, non-profit school dedicated to the education and life skills development of children who are intellectually, physically or developmentally challenged. The “Clays for a Cause” Sporting Clay Tournament, held Friday, Oct. 11 at Cherokee Rose Gun Club in Griffin, was designed to help raise much-needed funds so that the school can continue their mission of educating those with special needs. The school now has 76 students, and they will all benefit from the $53,000 that was raised at the clay tournament, which topped last year’s total by $14,000!

Many of the school’s students are from right here in metro Atlanta, including Coweta County, where Piedmont Residential currently has two new home communities.

At Persimmon Creek, buyers can choose from home sites of more than one acre and beautiful ranch or two-story homes that are priced from the $260,000s. With only a few select home sites remaining, this community is reaching sell out status quickly. Persimmon Creek features a great location that includes being next to a Canongate Golf Course and less than one mile from I-85, as well as fantastic community amenities that include a swimming pool and playground.

Also located in Coweta County is Northgate Preserve, which features 184 new homes on more than 400 acres. With large home sites and homes priced from the $260,000s, this community features a home for every lifestyle and budget. The homes in Northgate Preserve have large gourmet kitchens, optional keeping rooms, master-on-the-main plans and spacious bonus rooms per plan.
