Penny Power Promotion Comes to an End

Penny Power Promotion WinnersNovember 10th marked the grand finale event of the Penny Power Promotion where Realtor finalists competed to win $50,000 and home shopper finalists competed for a free Bowen Family Home. The Gwinnett Center was a buzz at 9 a.m. as the finalists showed up.

As participants arrived at the door, they each chose from a pile of envelopes, one containing $50K and one a brand new home, the rest were all containing $2,500. To win, the competitor had to successfully toss a penny into the fishbowl and then they won whatever prize was in their envelope. With the stakes high, competitors were encouraged to perfect their tossing skills at one of the many practice bays until the competition began. This also allowed friends and coworkers to chat and catch up.

Excitement was running high and the morning turned out to be quite competitive! The heated competition began as one by one the finalists were eliminated. As it turns out, Charles Cooper was the only participant to successfully make the toss from 15 feet away, earning himself a chance at a brand new home. He didn’t win the home, but he did go home with a check for $2,500 after opening his envelope.

The Realtor competition was up next. It took several rounds to narrow it down to players Tommy Slappey and Michael Garcia. But it was Michael Garcia who successfully tossed the penny into the fishbowl. After several rounds the fishbowls were moved from the fifteen foot mark to the ten foot mark to accommodate the players. When Garcia opened his prize envelope he too was happy to learn that he had won $2,500.

It was a great morning for everyone and two lucky winners left $2,500 richer. All those who were competing for the new home earned $1,000 to put towards the purchase of a Bowen Family Home. A big thanks goes out to all of those who participated and to the Realtors .

  1. I wish I was in town for the penny power promotion. It would have been nice to get 2500. I think that is great what they did.
