Peachtree Hills Place Member Planning for the future

rendering-5The word slow does not exist in Pat Kichline’s dictionary. The 81-year-old who still works as an Atlanta real estate tax appraiser recently discussed his and his wife Mable’s reasons for becoming Members at Peachtree Hills Place, the soon to be built upscale, residential community in Buckhead and why many of his fellow Members might want to start the appraisal process on some of their household items now.

“A lot of older people don’t need certain things,” he said. “Now might be a good time to begin liquidating and figuring out what you might and might not need to keep. Regardless, it’s good to know what you have. Other than handing down items, there are three ways to downsize. You can have a house sale, put an ad in the paper to sell items or have an auction.”

As far as his reasons for making the move to Peachtree Hills Place.

“We know so many people that are going to be Members and the community has everything we could possibly need,” said Kichline. “From the dining facilities done by Paul Abrecht (founder of Pano’s and Paul’s) to the property design and medical care, there is just so much the community offers. I stay very active and wanted a community where I can continue to walk two miles every day. At Peachtree Hills Place, everything is so handy and convenient and it is somewhere I can definitely stay active.”

The retirement community is currently almost 50 percent pre-sold. The community will need 65-percent reserved before they can close on their construction loan and begin building.
