Motion Picture Being Filmed at College Street Station
The major motion film, ‘Three Can Play That Game,’ starring Vivica A. Fox is currently being filmed at College Street Station in downtown Hapeville. Camera crews and directors will be onsite at the community filming scenes for the romantic comedy through Tuesday, May 15. Scouts from Rainforest Films, the producer, contacted developers of College Street Station after reading about the community in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Rainforest Productions, Inc. is a full-service production company that strives to push the envelope on urban genre pictures. The company has been based in Atlanta for 10 years and has produced a variety of motion pictures and corporate projects for both the silver and small screen. College Street Station has been bustling with activity since the 95-year old historic school in downtown Hapeville was renovated into one-of-a-kind lofts. Giving the studious structure a second chance at a new life, Northbrooke Homes Inc. and Hol-Camp Ventures, LLC converted the charming, historic school building into lofts priced from the mid $100,000s. One- and two-bedroom units are available for immediate move in, and there were even scenes from the movie filmed in one of the lofts. Many of the original details of the school’s classrooms are also incorporated in the lofts. The studio and two-story lofts at College Street Station feature dramatically high ceilings, expansive windows that offer abundant light and hardwood floors. Taking precautions to preserve as much of the original building as possible, lofts were incorporated into the school’s original auditorium and gymnasium. Great interior features include open kitchens with breakfast bars, granite countertops, maple cabinets with ginger stain and complete appliance packages. Featuring secure, gated parking, as well as electronic entry, College Street Station provides private living within walking distance of historic downtown Hapeville, home to many long-time family-owned businessess as well as new upscale restaurants, coffee houses, retail shops and art galleries. A Home Owners Association will provide exterior maintenance and upkeep. For more information, call Rebecca Shannon at 404.219.2474 or Lynne Garton at 678.488.1021.
