Mitchell Named Realtor of Year by Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors

MitchellLindaLinda Mitchell was honored as the 2009 Realtor of the Year at a meeting of the Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors held at Ten East Washington in Newnan on Tuesday, Dec. 8. She was also nominated for the Georgia Association of Realtors (GAR) 2009 Realtor of the Year at the recent convention at Disney World in Orlando, Fla. Nominees were judged on professionalism, service to Realtor organizations, Realtor achievements and service to the community.

Mitchell has been an Atlanta Realtor since 1993, and has been a broker since 1998. She is currently the managing broker in the Newnan/Coweta County Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty office. Her professional achievements and certifications include Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Accredited Seller’s Representative (ASR), Certified Negotiation Specialist, and E-marketing Specialist. She is also a Life Member of the Newnan-Coweta Million Dollar Club.

Within the Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors she has held numerous positions, including chair of Professional Standards and president. During 2009 she served as a state director, program chair and public relations chair. She is the 2010 president of the local Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR). On the state level, within the Georgia Association of Realtors (GAR), she has served on the Convention Committee, Professional Standards Committee, MLS Forum, Forms Committee and Communications and Public Relations Committee. She served as a District Representative for the Georgia Council of Residential Specialists and is a Certified Facilitator for GAR.
