For a family of four, a home with space to grow is essential – and Justin and Sophia DeCouto’s five-bedroom, four-bath Edward Andrews home in the Milton community of Lake Haven of Crabapple gives them all of the room they need.

Originally from Bermuda, the DeCoutos have been residents of Lake Haven since 2013 and have transformed the interior of their southern traditional home in north Fulton County into their own coastal abode. Details such as sand-color walls, water-colored accents and tan granite countertops keep them close to their roots, and all of the elements are enhanced by the design details provided by their builder, Edward Andrews Homes.

Their children, Ashlyn and Evan, say that their favorite part of the home is their playroom, while Justin and Sophia’s favorite part of the house is the “showstopper” gourmet kitchen. The kitchen features soft white custom cabinets, soft-close drawers, under-cabinet lighting, an oversized island and a mantle-style hood.

Additional standouts include a three-car garage with carriage-style doors, exposed beams and a coffered ceiling in the living room, as well as the family’s own personal favorite, the freestanding slipper tub in the master bathroom with an English telephone-style freestanding faucet.

The DeCouto’s are incredibly excited to engage in the richness and activity that Lake Haven has to offer. With the beautiful city of Milton offerings events and opportunities that can be enjoyed throughout the summer, there is no limit to the possibilities for the DeCouto’s and neighbors of this beautiful community.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution recently featured the DeCouto’s in the Private Quarters section of Homefinders, highlighting each enriching detail of their new home. Click here to read the entire article or visit this link to see the story’s entire collection of photos.
