Residents Enjoy Walking to Chamblee’s Downtown
Brian Baker was so excited when he saw the plans for Lofts @ 5300 that he bought his loft condominium just as construction started.
“The biggest draw for me was the location across from the Chamblee MARTA station. I wanted to use the car less and I was impressed by the City of Chamblee’s plans to reinvigorate the area. When I saw the plans for the building, I knew this was where I wanted to live,” he said.
Baker rides his bike to work and enjoys biking on the new biking and walking trail the City of Chamblee recently opened on an old railroad spur.
“I can walk across the street and take MARTA to Buckhead, downtown or the airport,” he said.
He loves the design and look of his one-bedroom condominium.
“It’s got a lot of modern efficiencies that make it easy to live in a smaller space,” said.
Like all the homes at Lofts@5300, Baker’s unit combines loft features such as 10-foot ceilings, oversized windows and exposed duct work with luxury amenities that include hardwood floors, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.
The community amenity package includes a clubroom with television, pool table and wet bar, a fitness center, a heated swimming pool, covered parking, and three landscaped courtyards with water features. The rooftop terrace features a tennis court and a garden with an arbor but the views are what Baker enjoys.
“There are great views from the terrace. We can see downtown, Buckhead, and the Perimeter area in the distance,” he said.
Located at 5300 Peachtree Road, Lofts@5300 features studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units with prices ranging from $108,900 for a studio to $241,900 for the largest two-bedroom unit.
The development includes retail space on the ground floor and is within walking distance of restaurants, shops and Chamblee’s quaint downtown and famous Antique Row, the largest antiques area in the south with more than 150 dealers.
“Lofts @5300 are a great location in a great community. The revitalization of the area has been a vision of the city of Chamblee since the year 2000. We’re bringing more people to the city with mixed use development and adaptive re-use. At the same time, we are preserving the history and character of the city,” said Eric Clarkson, real estate broker with Neighbors Realty, who also is Mayor of Chamblee.
