Active adult home builders, be sure to mark your calendar for the next Atlanta 50-Plus Housing Council meeting on Wednesday, June 4! The council will be hosting a luncheon at Maggiano’s where Donnie McGrath, the co-founder of GMD Design Group, will be speaking on Design Trends for 50-Plus Homes in 2014 and Beyond. Attendees at the event will be able to learn about new home trends, indoor and outdoor living spaces, multigenerational suites and community design, all while enjoying a delicious lunch.
GMD Design Group is a national recognized, award-winning architectural design and land planning firm that has offices in Atlanta, St. Louis, Denver and Raleigh, North Carolina. McGrath has more than 29 years of experience in the industry that includes a broad range of project types. He has worked on everything from high-rise commercial and mixed-used developments to mid- to high-density residential developments, as well as student housing and single-family communities. Last year, GMD Design Group performed work on projects in 17 states across the country.
50-Plus Council members can attend the luncheon for $30, while non-council members are $40 and non-HBA members are $50. Networking and registration will be held from 11:30 a.m. until noon, and the program will begin immediately after. The event will be held at Maggiano’s Cumberland location, which is located at 1601 Cumberland Mall in Atlanta.
