Thirty luxury homes on lots averaging three-quarters of an acre will create a taste of France in Conyers at the newest community of homes built by custom home builder Classic Smith Neighborhoods. Avignon will feature six brand new floor plans based on homes created by builder Mark Smith at Underwood Crossing, which features homes built on the theme of European castles. “These brand new plans were designed with comfort and convenience in mind. Today’s buyer is looking for a home with a good flow,” Mark Smith, president and founder of Classic Smith Neighborhoods, which has also built Greyfield and Underwood Crossing. “Our homes are an excellent value; we use high-quality materials and offer low maintenance and long-term appeal for the homes we build, both inside and out.”

The name Avignon comes from the European Castle Collection of homes Smith originally designed for Underwood Crossing. All the homes in Avignon are from the French Collection, creating a full community of stylish European homes. “We’re making special introductory offers for buyers,” Smith said. “In a slow market like this one, we have continued to provide value for the dollar; that’s why we’re still building. The custom home market has remained consistent, and we are able to meet that demand. With interest rates continuing to remain low, it truly is an excellent time to buy a new home.” The six new plans feature different elevations with the heavy stucco accents classic to European styling. All brick exteriors offer insulation and very low maintenance. Stucco and stone accent the castle-like elevations, and custom finishes are available on all of the homes. Inside, bull-nosed (rounded) corners and knock-down ceilings add texture and depth; architectural details such as tall ceilings, arches, columns and two-story rooms add to the elegance of the plans. Full basements include rooms that can be finished as home theaters, family rooms, hobby/office space and full baths. All of the plans feature a guest suite with a full bath on the main level. The Pierre, listed at $529,900, is a two-story home featuring five bedrooms and five full baths, and an exquisite master suite up with an extra large his-and-hers closet and private sitting room with a two-sided fireplace. French doors overlook the grand family room. The builder left the staircase to the basement/terrace level open, which gives the home an added open feel and flow. The Bonneval plan features the master suite with a large sitting room on the main level. All totaled, the plan has five bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths. The master suite has a large sitting room. All bedrooms are private suites or have Jack-and-Jill bathrooms. The plan also features a two-story family room.
