Kingston on Lake Oconee Welcomes First ‘Homeowners’

Future homeowners have already been secured at the golf course community, Kingston on Lake Oconee. Technically, there aren’t any homeowners yet because neither homesites nor homes have been released for sale, but Kingston on Lake Oconee does have a priority registration list, and it already has 26 names on it! Reservation holders are placed on a priority list and will select their home sites on a first-come-first-served basis. We got a chance to pick the brain on two reservation holders as to get a better understanding of their interest in Kingston on Lake Oconee – David Arnold, president of The Partnership, a marketing firm in Atlanta, and reservation holder number three; and Louie Carter, president of Grayson Homes and reservation holder number 24.

“We always knew that we wanted to retire on a lake someday, and we had previously looked at homes on Lake Oconee,” said Arnold. “Kingston on Lake Oconee offered us everything we were looking for—amazing amenities, a relaxing atmosphere, a lake with good water levels despite the drought, and affordability. We also liked the fact that it is closer to Atlanta than any other gated community in the area.”

“I lived in Atlanta for 26 years, and I moved to Lake Oconee to get away from the traffic and noise of the city. Kingston on Lake Oconee is unique among other communities in the area in that it is on the lake, but in a more remote location giving me the country feel that I sought when I first left Atlanta,” said Carter. “However, due to the tremendous and needed commercial growth in the area, its location also provides convenience to numerous shopping, dining and entertainment options. I measured it, and it’s only 8.8 miles to the new Publix.”

There are more reasons than these on why so many are choosing Kingston on Lake Oconee to provide them with the Georgia lakefront living they have always dreamed of. The community offers flexible options for homeowners seeking a primary residence or a place to call home on the weekend. Home sites at Kingston on Lake Oconee will include lakefront, golf course and wooded views. A variety of product types will allow potential home buyers to choose from single-family residences, townhomes and lakeside villas. Kingston on Lake Oconee will offer also offer fabulous residential amenities including a Lake Club, tennis pavilion, marina with dry boat storage, lakefront park, fitness/wellness center, an aquatic center, golf clubhouse and an 18-Hole Player Designed golf course by Gary Player Design. All in all, it doesn’t seem like there is a better place to purchase a second home, to retire or to use as a primary residence – so be sure to add your name to the reservation list as well.
