Karen Love Recognized as NAMAR Good Neighbor

NAMAR is honored to recognize Karen Love of Virtual Properties as the July/August Good Neighbor. Karen has been a NAMAR member for more than 15 years. She has given 100% to help those who have put their lives on the line to protect us — Americans. Karen started the first Sentinels of Freedom Chapter in Georgia in Gwinnett County. The chapter is made up of a group of concerned citizens and veterans dedicated to bringing home a severely disabled veteran, giving them a job, home, car, college education and Life Coaching for four years to help them comfortably settle in Gwinnett County.

The All Military Softball tournament was held in Duluth at Bunten Road Park on Sunday, May 25thKaren has worked tirelessly to help raise money and awareness for this cause. On Memorial Day weekend, Karen and her team spend the weekend at various parade’s and festivals promoting Sentinels of Freedom. On Sunday, May 25th, Karen’s dream of the first All Military Softball Tournament became a realty. The first game began with Army facing Navy and the winner taking on the winner of the Air Force vs Marines in the championship game. Army won the bragging rights for the next year by defeating Air Force 17 - 10.

The chapter is still looking for an individual, group or institution willing to provide a home for a returning severely disabled soldier and his/her family. The home can be gifted or loaned and is needed for the foundation’s scholarship term of four years. If you can help or are interested in joining the Gwinnett chapter, please contact Karen via the website’s contact form.
