John Willis receives Builder Achievement AwardJohn Willis Homes was honored as the silver award winner of the National Housing Endowment Builder Achievement Award for Outstanding Community Service, and the company selected HomeAid Atlanta as the designated charity to receive the award funds. The silver award was presented to John Willis Homes at the International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Fla. on February 13.

HomeAid Atlanta, a nonprofit organization that builds transitional housing for temporarily homeless children, women and men in the metro Atlanta area, will receive a $5,000 donation from the National Housing Endowment in honor of John Willis Homes.

The National Housing Endowment Builder Achievement Award for Outstanding Community Service was established in 2005 to honor builder, developer and remodeler members of the National Association of Home Builders for their exceptional philanthropic endeavors. Winning entries were selected by a panel of builders and industry professionals. Eight recipients were honored this year with awards, including gold, silver, bronze and five honorable mention award winners. Winners received donations to be directed to their charity of choice.

“It’s such an honor to be presented with this award,” said John Willis, president of John Willis Homes. “Giving back to the community is a responsibility I take very seriously and I am so pleased to be able to donate the award funds to HomeAid Atlanta. I can’t think of a more deserving organization.”
