JD Power New Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Study
JD Power and Associates has released their 2009 study results for overall customer satisfaction with new home builders, and the Atlanta real estate market should be very pleased. Before I get to the highest ranking new home builders in Atlanta, I think it is important to note that overall customer satisfaction has increased in 22 out of the 23 individual markets that JD Power analyzes. It’s great news for new home shoppers because builders have stepped up their game in regards to customer satisfaction hoping gain a competitive edge.
The customer satisfaction study is based on nine different factors including: workmanship/materials, builder’s warranty/customer service staff, price/value, builder’s sales staff, construction manager, home readiness, recreational facilities provided by the builder, builder’s design center and location. And, it is actual customers of the new home builders that are surveyed, meaning that a high rating from JD Power and Associates is a true testament to how the company treats their customers.
So, who is the top in Atlanta?
- Pulte brands, who is also in the top spot in 11 other markets
- Ashton Woods
- John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods
- Del Webb
- Sharp Residential
While these are the top scoring new home builders in Atlanta, there were a total of 15 rated, so you’ll want to check out the ratings to see how other Atlanta builders scored.

Wow. Read the Atlanta release. Legacy was at the bottom on customer satisfaction and construction quality. Atreus was just above them, followed by Bowen.
