Numerous ULI Events Scheduled for January

ULI AtlantaIf you are a member of ULI Atlanta then you already know the benefits of being a part of the non-profit organization including reduced registration fees to ULI meetings, conferences, workshops and District Council Events.

This January, ULI Atlanta will offer three events that all incorporate what the ULI has to offer its members. On Wednesday, January 6, Hal Barry of Barry Real Estate Companies will speak as part of the ULI Luncheon series. The event, which is slated to begin at 11:30 a.m., will be held at the offices of Sutherland, located at 999 Peachtree Street on the 28th floor.

Since creating Barry Real Estate Companies in 1995, Hal Barry and partner Chris Schoen have been responsible for the development of over 3 million rental square feet of office space in the southeastern markets. With major tenants including IBM, General Electric Company, Nike, Inc., Ernst & Young, Southern Company, Fortis, Bass, Berry & Sims, Mindspring/Earthlink, The Travelers Insurance Company, Toyota Motor Credit Corporation, Nortel Network, The Hartford, Bradley, Arant, Rose & White, Cingular Wireless, Lafarge North America, and Transamerica, Barry has established a presence in the ever changing real estate marketplace with its tenant-driven development and service-oriented strategy.

On Thursday January 14, Gil Garrison of Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart & Stewart and Ellen Dunham-Jones from Georgia Tech’s School of Architecture will lead a program on Community Planning and Urban Design. Be sure to visit www.uliatlanta for the location of the event.

Finally, on Wednesday, January 20, current ULI Chairman, Jon Goff of Cousins Properties Inc. will lead future leaders as part of the Young Leader Group. The event is scheduled to take place from 8-9:30 a.m. in the Cousins Properties Board Room, located at 191 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 3600.
