Jana Waycaster Graduates from GAR Leadership Academy

Jana Waycaster of Prudential Georgia and a member of the Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS^® graduated as one of the inaugural members of the Georgia Association of REALTORS^®‘(GAR) Leadership Academy.

Each year, 20 individuals from scores of applicants are selected for the GAR Leadership Academy. Candidates who may best serve as a local or state leader in the future are selected based on their track record of volunteer performance for their local Board of REALTORS^®, civic organizations, and their personal integrity.

Through participating in the Leadership Academy, Ms. Waycaster will attend multiple courses over the year taught by national instructors, that provide her with the skills necessary to become a stronger leader not only within the REALTOR^® organization but the local community as well. Some of the topics explored included the qualities of a leader, team building, goal setting, time management and creative thinking. Jana said, “It was truly a great experience. Not only did it teach business leadership skills it taught that personal health and growth comes first. Without that one cannot move forward as a Leader. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who aspires to take on a leadership role! I am honored to be in the first graduating leadership academy class. ”

NAMAR Executive Vice President, Tom O’Rourke, stated, “Jana is an example for all of the “younger generation” of Realtors® to emulate. Her contributions to NAMAR have opened the door for additional leadership responsibilities as a new NAMAR Board of Directors Member as well as a Georgia Association of Realtors Board Member. In the very near future we will be unveiling, under her leadership, a new program at NAMAR specifically geared towards the “younger generation” of Realtors® within our membership.”
