In the constantly evolving world of social media, it is important for companies to harness the power of online branding, and home builders are no exception. mRELEVANCE researched Atlanta’s top 25 home builders, as ranked by Metrostudy for the first three quarters of 2013, to see who had the largest social media following on Facebook. This infographic shows the top 25 home builders ranked in order of the number of likes they had on their company Facebook page as of Dec. 2, 2013.
Lennar Homes Atlanta far surpassed the competition with more than 26,000 people liking their Facebook page. Beazer Homes was in a distant second place with just over 12,300 likes. Rounding out the top five were Pulte Homes with more than 7,200 likes, Ryland Homes with just over 5,500 and KM Homes, which had 2,302 likes. It is interesting to note that Lennar Homes does have a small budget devoted to Facebook Like campaigns, and they also run a number of Facebook contests. The Lennar page is a local Atlanta page; however, the Beazer, Pulte and Ryland pages are all national pages.
Maybe it is a coincidence, or maybe devoting time, money and personnel to building a robust online presence is part of the reason the Lennar has been so successful in the Atlanta market?
