Homeowners Enjoy Extraordinary Features at Olde Heritage

Happy Homeowners Share their experience buying a new home in Cherokee County from Sharp Residential.

Olde Heritage Canterbury model

Olde Heritage, located in Woodstock, is a unique conservation community where homeowners are raving about the unique floor plans and inviting atmosphere. The community offers single-family homes priced from the $400,000s to the $600,000s.

Andrea and Darren Overholser had recently married when they decided that their Woodstock home was not large enough to support them. So, they began looking at other communities in the area to find a house that would grow with them as their family expanded.

Happy Sharp Homeowners, Overholsers“We had been driving around looking at different communities,” said Andrea Overholser. “When we discovered Olde Heritage, the model homes had not even been built yet. However, we both immediately knew that this was our new home.”

They now live in a four bedroom, three and one-half bath home, which has plenty of living space for their growing family that now includes their new son, James, and a miniature schnauzer, Daisy. The Overholsers were able to not only choose their floor plan, but also make desired changes to create a customized dream home that suits all of their needs.

“We modified the stairs and completely eliminated a second staircase, which led into the foyer,” explains Overholser. “Removing the stairs from the foyer made it twice as big.”

Among the many luxurious features of the home, Overholser’s favorite is her family room. The spacious, two-story family room has an entire wall of windows overlooking a beautiful wooded area. To add to this extraordinary feature, Overholser custom-made curtains to fit the windows, which accent the dramatic effect. “This way, when people walk in the front door, their attention is immediately drawn to the windows, and it is the first thing they see,” said Overholser.

Since moving into their Olde Heritage home, the Overholsers have screened-in their back porch and landscaped their backyard. The house has truly become home to them with their continued personalization and with the inviting atmosphere of the surrounding neighbors.

“You can’t always find a neighborhood with such a sense of community,” said Overholser. “All of the neighbors that I have met are so friendly and eager to help out in any way they can. This was the icing on the cake for us – we had found our perfect home and now we have great neighbors to boot.”

In addition to a quality home with exquisite features, Overholser is very happy with the abundance of greenspace in the community and was thoroughly impressed by the on-site sales agent, Michael Barsky. Barsky answered all questions that the Overholsers had, and, while their house was under construction, any problems brought to Barsky’s attention were promptly corrected.

Upon completion, Olde Heritage will offer 145 ranch and two-story homes from Sharp Residential’s Classic series of homes. Homes feature masters on the main, spacious breakfast areas, expansive family rooms, spa tubs in the master baths, basements, elegant trim packages, three-car side-entry garages and much more.

Community amenities include a swimming pool, tennis courts and lots of greenspace.
