One of the top ten reasons to buy a home in Atlanta is that home appreciation in Atlanta is above the national average.

According to Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller Home Price Index, the annual growth rate in prices of existing homes across the U.S. has been declining since 2006, certain areas are seeing increases. One of those areas is ATLANTA. Atlanta saw a 1.7 percent increase in the past year. Four other cities (Dallas, Charlotte, Portland and Seattle) also saw increases of at least this amount. As mentioned yesterday, with appreciation in home values comes more wealth generated to your pocket. So now is definitely a great time to buy a home in Atlanta.
