Heron Bay Residents Plan to Beat the Summer Heat
At Heron Bay Golf and Country Club, residents are planning to beat the heat this summer with a variety of water-related activities. From the community swim team and swim lessons to having fun in the sun, there is no shortage of activities taking place at the Aquatic Center!
Residents and non-residents alike can join the Heron Bay Hurricanes swim team. Swimmers aged 5 to 18 can join to make new friends, improve their skills and even compete against teams from the surrounding area. The Heron Bay Aquatic Center will be home to two of the team’s swim meets this summer on June 12 and 19 at 5 p.m., and all residents are invited to come and show their support for the Heron Bay Hurricanes.
Swim lessons will also be available for residents aged 6 months and up this summer. Parent and tot sessions are available for swimmers aged 6 months to 3 years, and private and group lessons will be available for everyone.
Registration will be open at the Heron Bay Lodge for the swim team and swim lessons on Thursday, May 15 from 5 until 7 p.m. In addition, the first team practice will be held Tuesday, May 20 from 4 until 7 p.m., and registration will also be held during this time.
For residents just ready to spend a few hours laying poolside or enjoy a few laps in the water, the pool will officially open for the summer on Friday, May 23.
