Heron Bay Raises over $25,000 for Hands of Hope Clinic

Heron Bay goblin gallopHeron Bay Golf & Country Club is elated to report that the 6th annual Goblin Gallop was a tremendous success. In fact, in terms of participation, it was the best year yet. Over 300 participants flocked to the Henry County community to spend an evening jogging the beautiful, tree-lined streets of Heron Bay. A true “fun run,” many participants were even sporting festive Halloween costumes in hopes of winning the costume contest.

While having over 300 participants is an extraordinary accomplishment, the Atlanta golf community is most proud of raising over $25,000 for the Hands of Hope Clinic. Considering the current state of the economy and the fact that everyone’s budgets are stretched to the limit, to be able to reach last year’s number is pretty amazing. The Hands of Hope Clinic is Henry County’s only free medical and dental facility and is completely dependent on donations to continue to provide healthcare for those in need.

All proceeds from the Goblin Gallop benefit the Hands of Hope Clinic. This includes sponsorship dollars, registration fees and raffle ticket sales. The Atlanta race is a fantastic way to bring the community together while simultaneously raising awareness and funds for the clinic. Of course plans are already underway for next year’s event, which we hope will be even bigger and more successful.
