Heron Bay Celebrates Opening of Lakefront Park

Heron Bay Golf & Country Club, which is a master-planned development in Locust Grove well known for entertaining residents with fun events and spectacular amenities, recently held party to celebrate the opening of the long awaited lakefront park. Held on Saturday, June 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the event attracted over 500 residents, making it a great opportunity to meet new neighbors as well as spend time with friends. Those in attendance were able to feast on hambugers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, jerk chicken, chips, watermelon and soft drinks, all of which were provided by Apollo Entertainment. For dessert, there were several flavors of Repicci’s Italian Ice, which also was a great way to alleviate some of that summer heat. With everything on the menu representing the change of the seasons, this celebration was the perfect summer soirée.

The Lakefront Park adds yet another amenity to the long list at Heron Bay. The Lakefront Park offers breathtaking views of the Cole Reservoir in Henry County. The park also features a large, stunning pavilion with a catering kitchen, overhead fans, picnic tables, fire pits, an IPOD docking station and swings.
