Help Keep the Chattahoochee Clean with Rockledge Apartments

The Chattahoochee River is legendary in Atlanta. It provides a myriad of recreational activities for Atlanta residents, including rafting, kayaking, fishing as well as some of Atlanta’s most popular running trails. In addition, the Chattahoochee River is the source of fresh water for the city of Atlanta. It’s such a city landmark that Alan Jackson even wrote a hit song about it. So, it’s incredibly important that we do not take this resource for granted and do everything we can to help keep it clean.

One great way to give back to the Chattahoochee River is by volunteering for the Chattahoochee Beautification day hosted by Rockledge apartments and the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. Meet at 1:00 p.m. in Rockledge’s event tent behind the leasing center to pick up materials and complete the registration process. Then, it’s off to the river through the trail at these Cobb County apartments that offers direct access to the Chattahoochee.

Don’t think that the day is all work and no play. Rockledge and the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper want to show you their appreciation for all of you help by hosting an after-party equipped with complimentary beer, provided by SweetWater Brewing Company, and complimentary food tastings, provided by Doc Greens and Boneheads. In conjunction with eating, drinking and celebrating at these Marietta apartments, the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper will provide a presentation about the threats facing the Chattahoochee River and what Atlanta residents can do individually and as a community to ensure that the city has enough clean water now and in the future.
