Hapeville Happy Days Festival This Weekend
Friday night kicks off the annual Happy Days Festival in Hapeville. Don’t expect to see Jonie, Chachi or The Fonz as this is not that kind of Happy Days festival. Instead, local businesses and residents of the quaint community come together just to enjoy the two day festival that celebrates 118 years of the City of Hapeville. On Friday, September 18th, the festivities begin at 7:00 p.m. with a live concert from Darwin Conort and Jimmy Lovern in the Jess Lucas Downtown Park. Come hungry as local vendors will be providing tasty cuisine for all visitors. Oh, admission and parking are FREE! On Saturday, the Happy Days festival continues at 11 a.m. and continues to 5 p.m. The day will be filled with live music, local vendors, children’s activities, a scarecrow contest and more.
Can you believe Hapeville is 118 years old? What’s even more impressive is how this intown Atlanta community hosts local events like this festival as if it were part of Small Town USA.
