Glen Lake Names December Pet of the Month

It’s no secret that Glen Lake are some of the most pet-friendly apartments in Atlanta. They have a myriad of amenities, activities and incentives specifically catering to their non-human residents, and one of these events is the Pet of the Month contest. Marley, a two-year old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog/Rottweiler mix, has been named the Pet of the Month for December, and it’s a honor well deserved for this playful pup owned by resident Nicolette.

After visiting shelters all around Atlanta for over six months in search of her first four-legged friend, Nicolette came across Marley on Petfinder this past April. He had been posted by Action Animal Rescue, a non-profit, volunteer group that was working with the veterinary clinic (Village Vets of Decatur) that found Marley on the side of the road. Though Marley was a bit shy at first, he came out of his shell very quickly. He now loves both humans and dogs alike, though he is still partial to chasing squirrels.

Nicolette raves, “I cannot even imagine my life without Marley. When I began to search for an apartment a couple months ago so that I could be closer to work, I realized that most apartment complexes weren’t very conducive to life with a larger dog. Finding Glen Lake was beyond perfect for me. In my extensive search around the Perimeter/Dunwoody area, Glen Lake was not only happy to have me move in, they were more than welcoming to Marley!”

It’s true – most Dunwoody apartments are not accommodating for large breeds of dogs. However, Glen Lake happily welcomes dogs up to 80 pounds in size. So, come to Glen Lake and reserve your new home for you and your pet. And keep your eyes peeled for Marley, he is quite an active resident in the community.  He even won the Halloween costume contest at the October Yappy Hour when he dressed up as a pirate.
