Georgia Department of Revenue Develops New Sales Tax Report

The Georgia Department of Revenue announced a new reporting system that will allow the public to better understand the distribution of money to Georgia’s 159 counties.

Prior to this new report, the data released was not very detailed and often over a year old. The new report will allow you to view the distribution of tax dollars to cities, schools and county government with much more detail and transparency.

The report will also show the source of the money, for example collections, audits or special local option sales tax.  The report can be configured to show distribution to a particular jurisdiction for a specific time span.
