Greater Atlanta Home Builder’s Association (GAHBA) is hosting its monthly regional meeting on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Maggiano’s Little Italy’s Perimeter location. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to hear Gretchen Corbin, the commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs (DCA), speak about what makes Georgia a great place to build and work.
The DCA oversees building codes, development standards, economic development and many other programs that are crucial to the future of the housing industry in Georgia. At the GAHBA regional meeting, you can hear the commissioner speak as she explores her agency’s leadership in making Georgia great. The DCA’s many programs include:
- Helping build communities by providing development programs.
- Enabling economic development by providing incentives and tools to promote growth and job creation.
- Promoting housing options through a range of programs designed to foster new housing development, homeownership and improved housing choices.
- Fostering sustainable development through sustainability, environmental protection and enhanced quality of life.
The March regional meeting will begin with registration at 11:30 a.m. and lunch at noon. Maggiano’s Little Italy is located at 4400 Ashford Dunwood Road in Atlanta. The cost to attend the event is $20 for builders, $30 for associates and $40 for non-members. Be sure to pre-register for the event to avoid the $15 walk-in fee.
