Full Circle’s Monastra Helps Raise Money for Pancreatic Cancer Research
Full Circle Senior Account Manager, Pamela Monastra, not only helps clients on a daily basis but also finds the time to help raise money for pancreatic cancer research. This fall, her efforts will focus on a golf tournament at the Golf Club of Georiga, where she hopes to raise $75,000 in an effort to defeat the silent killer. Monastra’s father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2007, and died just four weeks after his diagnosis. Though pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of all cancer deaths, the Monastras could not find an organization dedicated to the cure. Working with John Hopkins Medical Institutions, they founded the Joseph C. Monastra Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research in his memory, and have raised more than half a million dollars since 2002. Another member of Atlanta’s home building industry interested in advancing pancreatic cancer research is Tom Sharp, President of Sharp Residential. Sharp has lost friends and relatives to the disease as well, and has become very involved in the JCM Foundation, and is the main sponsor for the golf tournament this fall. The JCM Foundation is currently seeking other sponsors for the event which will take place October 29, 2007. Those who would like more information on the JCM Foundation, the golf tournament, donating or volunteering may visit www.jcmfoundation.com or contact Pamela Monastra at 404-391-2169 or info@jcmfoundation.com.
