Fifth Annual Goblin Gallop
Start breaking out your most creative Halloween costumes, because the fifth annual Goblin Gallop is only a few weeks away! The Goblin Gallop is a great evening of family fun hosted by Heron Bay Golf & Country Club that benefits Henry County’s Hands of Hope Clinic. Participants don their favorite Halloween costumes and participate in events such as a 6K, a 1 mile fun run/walk event, or the annual Tot Trot for those five and under. The Tot Trot is free, and the other events range from as little as $10 to $15.
This year’s event will take place at 5 p.m. on October 25. Prizes for creative costumes will be awarded and a plasma screen TV will be raffled off. University of Georgia fans need not worry, because the UGA and LSU game will be broadcasted on the plasma screen television so that participants won’t miss a minute! The event is a great way to bring the community together for a great cause, as well as to provide awareness about the thousands of adults and children in the county who are in desperate need of medical and dental services. Last year, the event attracted over 230 participants and raised over $20,000 for the Hands of Hope Clinic. The clinic is a free Christian medical facility in Henry County that is committed to helping families that do not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid, or do not have private medical insurance and can’t afford to see a doctor. Heron Bay Golf & Country Club, a premier Atlanta golf community, has been planning this year’s event for months and is confident that even more families will come out for an evening of safe Halloween fun. Pre-registration is now available and discounts for large groups are available!
