Next Saturday, feel the holiday spirit come alive at the 17th annual Christmas Jubilee Parade of Lights presented by the city of Woodstock. Festivities will begin at 4:30 p.m. at The Park at City Center, with the parade starting at 5:30.
Before the parade begins, attendees can stop by the many food and holiday vendors that will be located throughout the park, and then pick out the best location to watch the parade go by. The parade will run from Main Street at Highway 92 to Woodstock Elementary on Rope Mill Road.
Once the parade ends, head back to The Park at City Center, where Santa will be accepting visitors in the gazebo and the city will hold its annual Christmas tree lighting and present the Best Parade Float and Citizen of the Year awards. Kids will enjoy roasting marshmallows and playing on the free moonwalk until the movie in the park begins at 8 p.m. Be sure to bring a few extra blankets and chairs so you and your family can stay warm during How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Shrek the Halls, all while the beautifully-lit tree provides the perfect Christmas backdrop to the evening.
