Pantone®, the global authority on color, provides an update on the season’s most important color trends by surveying the world’s hottest fashion designers. However, their seasonal color report can translate directly from the runway into the décor for your Atlanta new home.
Just as designers have used colors in their wardrobe collections to display emotions and moods, you can do the same with color in your home. Whether you want to display the sophisticated, classic colors of fall or highlight the vivid, lively side of your personality with your home décor, the fall color palette allows you to do just that.
“Just as the leaves change in autumn, the consumer will enjoy the ability to change their ‘look’ and try a new approach to their wardrobe for brisk days ahead,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “The fall 2013 palette allows for that versatility and experimentation.”
The Fall Color Report 2013 highlights 10 dazzling shades that feature many of spring and summer’s bright colors that have evolved and deepened into luxurious jewel tones.
Shades such as Emerald or the yellow-toned Linden Green pair well with the bold Mykonos Blue, which provides a classic and relaxed look. Vivacious, a deep fuchsia, pairs well with Deep Lichen Green, a lush green, and together they capture both ends of the fall color spectrum.
Acai, a vibrant plum color, adds richness to the palette and can be incorporated with several colors to create a powerful fall combination, including Emerald, Vivacious or Samba, a spirited red. Koi, a fun fall orange is a great pick-me-up and also pairs well with Acai.
This year’s fall palette is rounded out by Turbulence, a dark grey and Carafe, a rich, sumptuous brown, which each provide an alternative to the traditional, basic black. For those that want a less adventurous color scheme in their Atlanta new home, these colors provide a great anchor for any of the other lively colors.
