Explore Atlanta’s Art Scene Near Condos in Midtown

condos in MidtownIf your New Year’s resolution included enjoying more of the arts in Atlanta, there is certainly no shortage of venues that will allow you to make that at least one resolution you actually keep.

Here’s a look at a few favorite spots for enjoying art in Atlanta:

  • Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA): Enjoy all things design at this one-of-a-kind museum located in the heart of the Midtown Arts Corridor. If you’re into Southern-style art, you won’t want to miss The South’s Next Wave: Design Challenge, which will be on display through the end of March. The museum also offers hands-on experience opportunities and networking events several times each month, so be sure to check their calendar on the website.
  • SCAD Galleries: The Savannah College of Art and Design hosts four unique galleries right here in Atlanta in addition to their other galleries worldwide. The Gallery See, Gallery 1600, Trois Gallery and Dewberry Gallery of SCAD each host a variety of different exhibits, so visit their website to see what’s currently on display.
  • High Museum of Art: This is probably the most well-known museum of art in Atlanta. Visitors can enjoy a diverse range of exhibits including permanent exhibits such as Folk Art and Decorative Arts & Design all the way to European and American Art. In addition to their collections that are always on display, a range of special exhibits are also available. Right now, museum goers can enjoy the works of Howard Finster and Susan Cofer or learn more about the radical artistic moments of the past 100 years with Fast Forward: Modern Moments 1913>>2013.
