Eastside Trail Gateway Opens Next to New Home from Epic Development

old fourth wardThe Atlanta BeltLine is continuing to grow and change the city’s landscape while providing a unique amenity for local residents. The newest complete project along the trail, the Eastside Trail Gateway, officially opened at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Aug. 22 at 11 a.m., which was attended by Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.

The Eastside Trail Gateway connects the Historic Fourth Ward Park to the main Eastside Trail. The Gateway begins across from the Angier Springs Road access point and winds down the hill towards the park, where it connects at Dallas Street and North Angier Avenue.

“The Gateway will be a huge benefit to the surrounding area,” said Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed. “The success of the Eastside Trail and Historic Fourth Ward Park demonstrate Atlanta’s desire for walkability and green space, and connecting these two projects will expand the impact they have already had on transforming our city’s landscape and mobility.”
