December Holiday Fun Thursday in Decatur!

This coming Thursday, December 17, 2009 is the big holiday spirit day before Christmas. First, Decatur is hosting its annual Bonfire & Marshmallow Roast from 7 pm until 8 pm. Second, this Thursday will also be your last chance to participate in Decatur’s Terrific Thursdays. The downtown Decatur Shops are open late offering snacks and drinks and special discounts. Some store favorites include: Blue Moon offering 10% off everything in the store, The Cooks Warehouse and Sherlocks Wine Merchant store offering wine tastings and cooking demos, Greene’s Fine Foods offering 10% off all purchases and more. There are approximately 28 different stores participating in the Terrific Thursdays in Decatur. Just plan to walk to downtown Decatur which is approximately 1 mile from Talley Street or even take the Avondale MARTA Station (1 block from Talley Street) to Downtown Decatur MARTA. Once you get there, you can actually be transported in Decatur’s Pedicabs for free within the downtown city limits area.
