Last Friday, September 28, Soleil Laurel Canyon’s grand ballroom was transformed into a “shopper’s paradise” for its fourth annual Arts & Crafts Fair. A variety of arts and crafts were showcased at the event including holiday decorations, jewelry, oil paintings, wreaths and even dog coats. Micki Farley, the event coordinator, noted that the Fair raised $400 in profits that were all donated to The Cherokee Volunteer Aging Council.
The fair proved how truly talented the residents of Soleil are, with 14 of the 28 exhibits run by community residents. There are numerous artistic clubs available to our residents, including the Fine Arts Group, the Knit & Stitch Club and the Ladybug Quilters, so it’s no wonder that this year’s show was described as being “the best ever.”
Soleil Laurel Canyon is the active adult community where residents are able to explore their talents and share them with one another.
