Courtyards Hapeville is Changing the Way People Live
With his new homes at Courtyards Hapeville, Brendan Murphy wants to change the way that people live.
The homes, which look like the vintage Craftsman-style homes in the surrounding neighborhood, are built around large private courtyards, giving homeowners the same amount of privacy in their outdoor living spaces as they have inside the house.
“This style is popular in Southern California and South Florida but it’s very unusual for this marketplace. The exterior has big front porches and rear-entry garages to fit in with the style of the older homes in the neighborhood but the interiors are modern and unique,” said Murphy, president of Chesapeake, Inc., builder and developer.
Home at Courtyards Hapeville are larger than many of the other homes in the area and have open floor plans, luxury baths and gourmet kitchens have granite countertops, under-counter appliances, and upgraded stainless steel appliances. The courtyards may be accessed from various points in the main living areas through French doors or multi-panel sliding pocket doors.
“These homes offer a relaxed, casual style of living that fits in with today’s lifestyles. Our standard features surpass what many builders offer as options,” Murphy said.
Chesapeake, Inc. paid careful attention to detail and put extra thought into the design of the homes, incorporating features such as raised dishwashers so the homeowner doesn’t have to stoop to load dishes and wiring that give buyers the option of adding central vacuum systems and surround-sound audio throughout the interior of the home and in the courtyard.
“Every courtyard is prepped for a water feature and has at least one gas outlet for an outdoor kitchen, outdoor fireplace or fire pit. Buyers can create their own unique living environment by adding custom features,” Murphy said.
Optional water features include a swimming pool, a pond, a waterfall or a spa.
Homes at Courtyards homes have three-to five bedrooms and three-to-four baths and are prices from $375,000 to $499,000. Exteriors are of cement-based siding with two-car rear-entry garages with carriage-style garage doors and fully sodded front and rear lawns with irrigation systems. Lawn maintenance is provided by the home owners association.
The 13-home enclave is tucked inside an established neighborhood near downtown Hapeville.
“It’s a great location. Hapeville is just 10 minutes from downtown Atlanta, five minutes from the airport and convenient to I-75 and I-85. It’s a small town with a lot of charm on its own and it’s just a few minutes from all the amenities of a big city,” Murphy said.
