Couple Grows Closer Building First Home

Bill and Pat Burndrett have recently completed building their first home in Somerset, an Active Adult community in Woodstock. The couple’s marriage not only survived picking out the details of their dream home, but even grew stronger as a result of the decisions! “This was our first home and we had heard that the stress of building a home can tear a couple apart, but we found it fun!” said Pat. Their Lexington floorplan they picked out has three bedrooms and three bathrooms as well as hardwood floors, upgraded appliances, a stone fireplace, and a trendy casita. The casita, which is Spanish for “little house,” is a large room with a bathroom and covered porch that is attached to the house through a breezeway. The casita gives room for guests, a media room, sewing room, or even storage. It’s a great and unique addition.
