On Thursday, June 26, the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA) will be holding their monthly meeting, which will discuss the Atlanta Braves coming to Cobb County. The event will be held at Maggiano’s Cumberland Mall location, with registration at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch from noon until 1:30 p.m.
The guest speaker at this month’s meeting will be Cobb County Commission Chairman, Tim Lee. Lee will be delivering the full scoop on the new Braves’ stadium, expected to open near Cumberland Mall in 2017. The new southeastern Cobb County location will not only be in a fast-growing city, but also near the geographic center of the Braves’ fan base.
Tim Lee was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners in July 2010. Through his position, Lee is responsible for providing a system of local government services designed to “protect the health, safety and welfare” of county citizens. Lee gained experience in the housing industry before taking his seat as commissioner, serving as the Vice President of the Northeast Cobb Homeowners Group and as the President of his neighborhood’s homeowner’s association for 10 years.
