Central Atlanta Progress Annual Meeting March 26th
Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) and The Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID) will hold their 66th annual meeting at 8 a.m. preceded by registration and coffee at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26 in the Thomas Murphy Ballroom at the Georgia World Congress Center.
This year’s theme is “Downtown Now – More Than You Can Imagine!”
Tickets for the meeting are $75 for members $85 for non-members. They can be purchased at www.atlantadowntown.com.
“We are thrilled once again about the news we will be able to share on so many fronts, demonstrating success and significant development at this year’s annual meeting,” said A.J. Robinson, president of Central Atlanta Progress. “I encourage everyone to plan ahead in their calendars and buy their tickets now because we anticipate a crowd close to 1,500 people on hand.”
The meeting will include a look back at accomplishments from the past year as well as a preview of the broad range of special initiatives and commercial, retail, hospitality and residential projects on tap for 2008.
The Dan Sweat Award and Turner Broadcasting Downtown Community Leadership Award will be presented at the meeting to Dr. Carl Patton, the retiring president of Georgia State University and Norman Koplon, Senior Consultant, Real Estate Development, Construction and Planning of Troutman Sanders LLP, respectively. The Ambassador of the Year Award and Outstanding Clean Team Member will also be announced.
Speeches will be given by Tom Bell, chairman of CAP as well as chairman of the Board and CEO of Cousins Properties and Robinson.
Top sponsors for this year’s meeting include The Coca-Cola Company, Development Authority of Fulton County, The Home Depot, Post Properties, BB&T, AirTran, Georgia Power and Cousins Properties.
