Celebrity Golf Tournament at The Georgia Club

The Georgia Club is gearing up for its first Celebrity Golf Tournament! Celebrities like Dave Bliss (former UGA basketball player), Neal Boortz (WSB radio), David Chandley (WSB-TV), Chuck Dowdle (WSB-TV), Damon Evans (UGA Athletic Director), Kelley Hester (UGA Women’s Golf Team coach), Charlie Rymer (ESPN commentator) and Suzanne Yoculan (UGA Gym Dog’s coach) will join registered teams for a fun-filled day of golf and festivities to support local charities.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, followed by breakfast and a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The cost for the event is $200 per person or $800 per team. The community is invited to attend the awards ceremony and cookout at 1:30 p.m. for $50.

Proceeds from the Celebrity Golf Tournament will benefit The Georgia Club Foundation and Barrow, Oconee and Northeast Georgia food banks. The Georgia Club Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to improving the spiritual and cultural quality of life for its residents and the community at large. Recent events include the Christmas Tour of Homes, Front Porch Footrace, Barrow County Adopt-a-Family and Adopt a Mile Program, among others.

The tournament will take place at The Chancellors Course at The Georgia Club, an award-winning, Dennis Griffiths-designed, 27-hole course. The Georgia Club is a golf community in the Atlanta area that offers homeowner a luxurious, southern lifestyle.
