Thousands Flocked to Atlanta to Show Their PRIDE
Despite the rain and the move from Piedmont Park, thousands showed up to the 2008 Atlanta Gay Pride Festival this past fourth of July weekend. Sera Townhomes and eon at Lindbergh were two proud sponsors of the parade and actively participated in the event by entering a float! The float had a Mardi Gras inspired theme that read “Show Us Your Pride, We’ll Show You Ours!” The two groups tossed out beads, bags and magnets and added to the day’s festivities. At their booth, eon and Sera Townhomes New Home Consultants judged the mannequin speed

100th TAD Closing at Oakland Park
When Aiesha Bridges closed on her new Oakland Park condominium last month, she became the 100th person to benefit from Atlanta’s Eastside Tax Allocation District (TAD) Affordable Housing Purchase Program. TADs were established for the sole purpose of encouraging new development in particular areas throughout Atlanta.
Through the assistance of the TAD program, Aiesha’s new Atlanta condo will be financed for $88,000 under the sale price. 
Aiesha purchased a one-bedroom condominium for $200,000, but will only finance $112,000 herself thanks to the layering of several subsidies from the Eastside TAD program. The various government subsidies made Bridges’ new Downtown one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo more affordable for a teacher’s salary. (Continued…)
