Forbes Names Atlanta as One of Best Cities to Buy a Home
For those of you that are hesitant to purchase a home, I think it is important for you to know that Forbes recently listed Atlanta as a Top 10 City to Buy a Home. As you well know, Atlanta’s real estate market has remained relatively stable in an otherwise unpredictable market and it is this along with our low new home prices that keeps Atlanta as a great place to buy a home.
Forbes.com examined the 40 largest metropolitan areas in the country. Atlanta ranks 10th by Forbes.com among the best cities to purchase a home, and the article mentions Atlanta’s high growth rate and median home price of $172,000 as one of the reasons for its high ranking. Home price appreciation over the past two years averaged 7 percent among the top 10 cities.

Bullard Offices, Agents Place Well in Coldwell Banker Quarterly Rankings
The Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty organization had several offices and agents with high placements in 1st Quarter 2008 rankings for residential affiliates released by Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation. Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty was No. 30 nationally in adjusted gross commission income among the 1,207 affiliate companies participating in the Top 50 Companies listing. Bullard Ranks in Top 700 Brokers in 20th Annual Listing by RISMedia
Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty has been named to RISMedia’s 20th Annual Power Broker Report & Survey. The Metro South-based company ranked 167th in closed transaction sides in the Power Broker Report, which identifies and ranks America’s largest residential real estate brokerage companies by transaction sides and sales volume. Last year, Coldwell Banker Bullard was in the No. 194 position in the report. The results of this year’s Power Broker Survey reflect the market downturn felt from coast to coast. Longer listing times, more cautious buyers and the mortgage meltdown resulted in fewer total transactions — 2,322,210 in 2007 compared to 2,754,618 in 2006. Meanwhile, price appreciation continued its decline, resulting in lower total sales volume — $749,201,552,294 in 2007 compared to $855,755,959,352 in 2006.
